Introduction

Fighting styles are the identity of Untitled Boxing Game. There are more than 30 styles split across five rarity bands — Uncommon, Rare, Mythic, Legendary and Shiny — each with its own stats, movesets and play rhythm. Styles are inspired by famous anime boxers and real champions: Ippo channels the plucky out-boxing of Hajime no Ippo, Hitman recreates Mashiba's long-armed reach, and Iron Fist brings the swarming power-punching of Mike Tyson. The October 2026 STREET FIGHTER 6 collab added the icon Ryu as a limited-time style. Every style is viable thanks to the developer's design philosophy, so your choice is about flavor and fit rather than strict power — though some styles clearly dominate the ranked meta.

Core Mechanics

Each style changes how you approach the ring. Uncommon styles like Basic teach the fundamentals with balanced stats. Rare styles add gimmicks — Charge rewards patience, Hammer emphasizes big single punches, and Trickster plays unpredictable angles. Mythic styles bring the recognizable anime movesets: Ippo's Dempsey-style flurries, Hitman's long reach, and Wolf's aggressive pressure. Legendary styles sit at the top of the meta with generational kits: Iron Fist's swarming power, Ghost's hit-and-run, Slugger's huge hooks and Chronos's time manipulation. Shiny styles are premium reskins of existing legends with exclusive visual effects. The collab Ryu style uses classic Street Fighter spacing with fireball-inspired pressure.

Advantages

The style system rewards experimentation — because every style is viable, you can pick the rhythm that fits your instincts instead of being forced into one build. Styles also create long-term collection goals: hunting a favorite Legendary or landing a Shiny gives you a reason to keep spinning. The anime and real-boxer inspirations make each style memorable, so learning a new style feels like playing a new character rather than a stat stick.

Challenges

The variety comes with a steep knowledge requirement: knowing what every style wants to do is essential to counter it, and the meta shifts with balance patches and reworks. Rarity is not power — some Legendary styles are situational, while strong fundamentals with an Uncommon style can still win ranked. Limited collab styles like Ryu may become unobtainable once the event window closes, so decide early if you want to chase them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a new fighting style in UBG?+
You spin for styles using spins earned from wins, codes, quests and daily rewards. The spin wheel selects a style based on rarity odds, and a pity system guarantees a Legendary after 100 spins. Lucky Spins, often rewarded by codes, boost your chance at Mythic and Legendary pulls.
Which fighting style is the best?+
The meta changes with updates, but Iron Fist, Ghost, Slugger, Chronos and Deimos consistently top community tier lists. That said, the developer's philosophy is that every style is viable — a skilled player using an Uncommon style can beat a novice on a Legendary.
What are Shiny styles?+
Shiny styles are ultra-rare premium reskins of existing styles with exclusive particle effects. They have extremely low odds (0.015%), but Lucky Spins improve the chance and collecting 500 Shiny Shards guarantees one. They are cosmetic-only and do not change gameplay stats.

Quick Tips

💡

Use Lucky Spins during high-value events — codes that grant Lucky Spins are your best chance to pull Legendary or Mythic styles, so do not waste them on the basic wheel. Save them for a new-style release or a collab window like the SF6 event, when the pool actually contains the style you want.

💡

Master one style before expanding your style slots. Learning a single moveset deeply wins more matches than owning several styles you barely understand, and becoming fluent with one kit teaches you the spacing and timing fundamentals that transfer to every other style you pull later. Once you can play one style without thinking, every new pull is just a new flavor on the same fundamentals.

💡

Enable the style preview in matches to test new pulls casually — you can feel how a style plays before committing spins or style-slot space to building around it. Try an Uncommon style in casual mode first and you will be surprised how far fundamentals can carry a 'weak' rarity.
